LEHM: a convenient non-linear regression microcomputer program for fitting Michaelis — Menten and Hill models to enzyme kinetic data

Usually the first step of an enzyme kinetic analysis is to test whether a simple Michaelis-Menten or Hill model fits the measured results. To cope with this task we designed a computer program in which the initial values of kinetic parameters are estimated by a linear method and then refined by a non-linear least-squares method. Graphical illustration of the linear regression calculations helps to choose an adequate model
