Invoke Criminal Sanctions with Caution

Criminal sanction is the most drastic of the State’s institutional tools for regulating the conduct of individuals. Criminal law ought to be the last resort in a constitutional democracy. It should not be invoked unless there are compelling reasons to do so. The opposite is happening in the country.
