Karyotyping of chromosomes in 257 andrological out-patients

Chromosome abnormality is an important factor involved in male infertility and gonadal hypoplasis.In thisstudy chromosome specimens of 257 andrological out-patients were analyzed,and 40 cases of abnormal chromosome karyotypeswere found,with a detection rate of 15.6%.Among them,the detection rate of abnormal sex chromosomes was hiighest,ac-counting for 92.5%.This paper deals only with the relationships of abnormal chromosome detection rates with male infertilityand gonadal hypoplasis.
