Stabilized amorphous atorvastatin calcium and processes for their preparation. It is a product suitable for pharmaceutical use, consisting of an amorphous form of atorvastatin stabilized, containing between 7% and 9.5% by weight of water, which remains almost any condition of relative humidity and temperature , whose preparation process is simple, economical, reproducible and easy industrial scale, which comprises dissolving any form of atorvastatin calcium in an alcohol of low molecular weight hot water addition to the above solution, isolation by filtration from the crystallization mixture and vacuum drying, so that this process allows to obtain a non-hygroscopic, stable and manageable form of stabilized amorphous atorvastatin calcium.
