Drug Bioavailability Information and Its Utility

Abstract A.H.C. Chun, PhD, is associate research fellow and head of the biopharmaceutics section of the pharmaceutical products division at Abbott Laboratories. A native of Hawaii, he earned his BS degree in 1954 and his MS and PhD degrees from the school of pharmacy and pharmacal sciences of Purdue University. Since joining Abbott Laboratories in 1958, he worked. in the pharmaceutical development, physical chemistry and chemical pharmacology areas. Chun is a member of APhA' s Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rho Chi and Sigma Xi. He was recently elected fellow of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences. James A. Seitz, PhD, is manager of the pharmaceutical R&D services department, pharmaceutical products division, Abbott Laboratories. Seitz earned his BS and PhD degrees in pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin college of pharmacy. His 15 years of industrial research and development experience have encompassed a broad spectrum of laboratory and supervisory functions. Since joining Abbott Laboratories in 1971, his responsibilities have included biopharmaceutics, exploratory pharmaceutics and development engineering. Seitz is a member of the APhA, Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rho Chi and Sigma Xi.
