The challenges of the fisheries sector and its treatment by the ILO

The purpose of this work is to analyse the fisheries sector, under the angle of globalization and sustainability. Analysing the working conditions of this group and the challenges presented in this century. All this, under the prism of the Conventions of the Labour Organization (ILO), specifically of Convention 188 on Work in Fishing. To determine finally, if the concern to improve working conditions has been real or not, and if this new regulation will mean a higher degree of compliance and better conditions in the fishing sector for the Member States.
