Utilisation of health care services in KwaZulu-Natal by disease profile - Identifying gaps and redefining priorities for enhancing health care delivery in the public sector

The study will utilize data already captured and pertaining to service delivery and the burden of diseases in KwaZulu-Natal. The information will relate the gaps in policy against the services currently being delivered and answer the question of service improvements in changing disease patterns. In order to achieve this, disease profiles, chart records, surveys done in the past 10 years, and vital District Health Information Systems (DHIS) data will be the main sources of information.
