Application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process to Evaluate Introduced Semi-Dormancy Alfalfas

The Analytic Hierarchy Process was used to comprehensively evaluate 14 introduced semi-dormancy alfalfa varieties,based on their economic characteristics,stress resistance,and feed quality.The set up model was Y = 0.42 c1 + 0.14 c2 + 0.08 c3 + 0.06 c4 + 0.12 c5 + 0.06 c6 + 0.02 c7 + 0.09 c8 + 0.01 c9,in which c1 denotes fresh herbage yield,c2,regenaration rate,c3,ramifica-tion number,c4,dry fresh ratio,c5,ratings of heat stress resistance,c6,water stress resistance,c7,dry leaf slum ratio,c8,crude protein and c9,acid detergent fibre respectively.The results showed that WL series such as WL-4167,WL-324,WL-525HQ had high scores and excellent overall characteristics.In particular,WL-4167 was the best one with high yield,high heat stress resistance and high feed quality,which should be widely cultivated.
