A IMPORTÂNCIA DA LEGISLAÇÃO AMBIENTAL PARA MANUTENÇÃO DE ÁREAS PROTEGIDAS EM BACIAS URBANAS

One of the main instruments for the preservation of forest fragments in urban areas is the establishment of green areas defined by law. However, the Brazilian law established some sustainable use protected areas, which allows the use of these areas since there is a compatibility of the use with the conservation of natural resources. One way to evaluate the effectiveness of legislation is through the monitoring of land use. This study analyzed the dynamics of the soil use of a conservation unit situated in the Federal District, during the years of 1990 and 2008.
