Severe gluteal skin ulcers in an infant with juvenile dermatomyositis

Juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM), a multisystem disease of uncertain origin, is defined by chronic inflammation of striated muscle and skin [1]. Although cutaneous ulceration occurs frequently, JDM patients with cutaneous ulcerations may have severe and prolonged disease [2].
