Comparison of morphometric attribute and growing performance between Allogynogenetic gibel carp(Carassius auratus gibelio)"CAS III" and Pengze crucian carp(Carassius auratus Var.Pengzenensis)

The morphometic attribute and growing performance of Allogynogenetic gibel Carp "CAS Ⅲ" and Pengze Crucian Carp were measured in breeding condition.The results of Allogynogenetic gibel Carp "CAS Ⅲ" are as follows:The ratio of body length to body height is 2.55;The ratio of body length to head length is 4.27;The ratio of body length to candal peduncle length is 8.56;The ratio of candal peduncle length to candal peduncle height is 0.76.The results of Pengze Crucian Carp are as follows:The ratio of body length to body height is 2.74;The ratio of body length to head length is 3.66;The ratio of body length to candal peduncle length is 5.87;The ratio of candal peduncle length to candal peduncle height is 1.14.The measurements above could be used as parameters of morphometric attribute,which has significantt difference between Allogynogenetic gibel Carp "CAS Ⅲ" and Pengze Crucian Carp.On the whole,Allogynogenetic gibel Carp "CAS Ⅲ" has a deeper body,more shorter head and candal peduncle than Pengze Crucian Carp,which has a more slender body.Growth rate and weight growth rate of Allogynogenetic gibel Carp "CAS Ⅲ" were higher than Pengze Crucian Carp after 4 months cultivation.The condition factor has no significant difference between these two test fishes.The results showed that the production performance of Allogynogenetic gibel Carp "CAS Ⅲ" was better than Pengze Crucian Carp and it was suitable for the promotion in Southern China.
