Caracterización del clima presente y futuro de las aguas de la Península Ibérica y el mar Mediterráneo

espanolLa colaboracion establecida entre AEMET, Puertos del Estado, IMEDEA y Meteo-France tiene como objetivo realizar simulaciones de oceano para obtener escenarios de cambio climatico marino (oleaje, residuos del nivel del mar y circulacion oceanica), que cubran las zonas maritimas que circundan la Peninsula Iberica y el mar Mediterraneo. Las simulaciones de circulacion oceanica se han realizado con una version del modelo baroclinico regional NEMOMED12 a 1/12o de resolucion, adaptada al area geografica mencionada. Inicialmente, se ha verificado el modelo de oceano mediante simulaciones de reanalisis, forzandolo con flujos atmosfericos procedentes de downscaling dinamicos de ERA-interim (1989-2004) y ERA40 (1960- 2000), y comparando los resultados con datos observados. Posteriormente, se ha alimentado el modelo con forzamientos atmosfericos regionalizados correspondientes al escenario de cambio climatico A1B (2000-2050) de los modelos globales HADCM3 y ECHAM5, para llevar a cabo las simulaciones de clima futuro. EnglishThe aim of the collaboration established between the Spanish Metoffice (AEMET), Puertos del Estado, IMEDEA and Meteo-France is to perform ocean simulations to obtain marine climate change scenarios (waves, sea level and ocean circulation) which covers the sea areas surrounding the Iberian Peninsula and the Mediterranean Sea. The ocean circulation simulations have been carried out by using the regional baroclinic model NEMOMED12 at 1/12o of resolution, adapted to the above-mentioned geographical domain. Initially, the ocean model has been verified by means of reanalysis simulations, forcing it with atmospheric fluxes derived from dynamical downscalings of ERA-interim (1989-2004) and ERA-40 (1960-2000), and comparing the results with observational data. Subsequently, the model has been forced with downscaled atmospheric fluxes corresponding to the A1B climate change scenario (2000-2050) obtained from the HADCM3 and ECHAM5 global models, in order to perform the future climate simulations.
