A baseband integrated circuit for homodyne cordless phones

1998
This paper presents a mixed signal circuit, which has been integrated in a triple metal, double poly, 0.8 /spl mu/m CMOS technology and which realizes the baseband functions of a homodyne transceiver for cordless phone applications. The frequency hopped phone is a time division duplex system that uses /spl pi//4-QPSK modulation. Problems unique to direct conversion receivers are discussed, circuits are described and test results are given.
