Summary The major arterial blood supply to the pelvic limb of the cat is described from a comparative standpoint and some of the discrepancies in the literature are indicated. The findings are limited to the essential characteristics of the major vessels which are presented by composite illustrations. Zusammenfassung Die Arterien der Beckengliedmase bei der Hauskatze Vom Standpunkt der vergleichenden Anatomie werden die groseren arteriellen Blutgefase der Beckenextremitat der Hauskatze an Hand von Abbildungen beschrieben und dabei auf einige Widerspruche hinsichtlich der einschlagigen Literatur aufmerksam gemacht. Resume Les arteres de l'extremite posterieure du chat On decrit l'irrigation arterielle principale de l'extremite posterieure du chat du point de vue comparatif et l'on signale quelques contradictions avec la litterature. Les descriptions se limitent aux caracteristiques essentielles des vaisseaux principaux et sont presentees avec des illustrations. Resumen Las arterias del miembro pelviano en el gato Desde el punto de vista comparative, se describe el abastecimiento sanguineo arterial mayor al miembro pelviano del gato, indicandose algunas discrepancias publicadas en la bibliografia. Los hallazgos se limitan a las caracteristicas esenciales de los vasos mayores y se presentan mediante ilustraciones compuestas.
