Iglesias de San Cristóbal en el siglo XX: Arquitectos, constructores y descripciones

This paper is a fi rst approach to the subject of religious architecture in the city of San Cristobal (Venezuela), during the 20th Century. Here, we analyze the design and construction of twelve temples; as well we study and describe their main characteristics. This research is related to the activities considered in the study course program of History of Architecture I in the “Universidad Nacional Experimental del Tachira”. Our purpose is to supplement the information of the subject´s program by studying the most representative cases of the religious architecture found in Tachira´s capital city.
