Research progress of circular RNA and prediction of its role in bronchial asthma in children

2018
Bronchial asthma is a common allergic disease in children, and the initial diagnosis and formal treatment are crucial for the prognosis. It has been found that many non-coding RNAs are related with childhood asthma pathogenesis and treatment. However, the existing researches are all about the relationship of microRNA and long non-coding RNA with childhood asthma. As a new member of non-coding RNA, roles of circular RNA in children’s asthma are still unknown. It has been found that many microRNAs are differentially expressed in the pathogenesis and treatment of childhood asthma and regulate the disease through different mechanisms. Because circular RNA can competitively bind with microRNAs, it is likely that circular RNA may also involve the pathogenesis and treatment of childhood asthma. This paper discusses and predicts the role of circular RNA in the development and treatment of childhood asthma and its regulatory mechanism. It helps to diagnose and treat childhood asthma according to the expression of circular RNA, and brings new ideas for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of childhood bronchial asthma. Key words: Bronchial asthma; miRNA; Circular RNA
