Laser Spot Center Detection Based on Improved Circled Fitting Algorithm

L106 spot centering is one of the key technologies in optical measurement. In this paper, according to the characteristics of spot energy distribution in the laser spot image, the image processing method is mainly used to detect the laser spot position. Based on the circular fitting method, the improved algorithm of circular fitting is proposed based on the feature that the difference between the spot area and other areas in the laser image is large. An improved circular fitting algorithm based on the brightness threshold is proposed to eliminate the interference of the diffraction area. Using the saturation point to fit the light spot, fitting out the optimal ellipse contour and calculating the final spot center. Through error analysis and experiment, it is proved that this method is suitable for the detection of spot center in various complicated environments under the premise of real-time, which effectively improves the anti-jamming and positioning accuracy of laser spot center detection.
