Clinical analysis of 95 cases of influenza A(H1N1)

Objective To analyze clinical characteristics of influenza A(H1N1).Methods Clinical data of 95 confirmed cases of influenza A(H1N1) treated in our hospital from July to Sept.2009 were analyzed.Results The major clinical manifestations of the patients with influenza A(H1N1) in kunming included fever,angina,cough,expectoration,congestion ofthroat,decline in WBC and the percentage of neutrophilic granulocytes,an increased percentage of lymphocytes and monocytes,and throat swab specimen positive for influenza A(H1N1) virus by RT-PCR.No severe cases and critical complications were found.Treatment with integrated Chinese and Western medicine,such as oral intake of oseltamivir,Shuanghuanglian oral liquid or Lianhua Qingwen Capsule was effective.Nodeath case was found.Conclusion The patients with influenza A(H1N1) in Kunming have typical clinical manifestations with few complications.Preventive measures should be strengthened in densely populated venues such as schools due to the strong infectivity of influenza A(H1N1).
