Edirne merkez ilçede prematür ölümler, 2004 ve 2008

Objective: This study determined the causes of premature mortalities, the potential years of life lost (PYLL) and the economic losses due to premature mortality in the provincial centre of Edirne. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study. Mortality data in Edirne for the calendar years 2004 and 2008 were compiled from records in hospitals, cemeteries, forensic medicine centers and municipal offices. Mortality data were analyzed according to time, place, gender and causes of deaths. Potential years of life lost due to premature mortality in the provincial Centre of Edirne were computed.
