The invention discloses a video transmission system based on an unmanned aerial vehicle platform, including an unmanned aerial vehicle load end and a ground control end. The unmanned aerial vehicle load end is fixedly mounted on an unmanned aerial vehicle and carries out wireless data transmission exchange with the ground control end. The unmanned aerial vehicle load end comprises an image collection unit. The core of the image collection unit is a master control chip. The input end of the image collection unit is connected with an imaging unit. The output end of the image collection unit is connected with a positioning module, a wireless transmit-receive module and a flight control unit. The wireless transmit-receive module carries out data transmission with the ground control end. The ground control end comprises an imaging control system. The imaging control system is connected with a network communication module. The network communication module carries out data exchange with the wireless transmit-receive module. A relay signal tower is mounted on a communication link between the wireless transmit-receive module and the network communication module. The system achieves functions of unmanned aerial vehicle shooting mode transition and onsite decision making.
