Chemometric approach to study rain composition from the region of Thessaloniki, Greece

1994
Data from rainwater samples were analysed by various multivariate statistical approaches such as cluster and correspondence analysis, analysis of principle components and factor analysis. The chemometric strategy reveals a new level of useful information concerning rain chemistry of the region studied. The geographical, meteoro‐logical and anthoropogenic components of the wet precipitation collection are shown as substantial factors influencing the sample composition.
