Multiple air conditioner, (Set-free ice heat storage series) for buildings (Hitachi Ltd.); Biru yo maruchi eakon (Setto furi hyochikinetsu shirizu) Kabu-Hitachi seisakusho

1995
Hitachi has developed a multiple air conditioner, the ice heat storage series in cooperation with Tokyo Electric Power Co. Ltd., and puts it on sale, which saves the consumed electric power during daytime air conditioner operation. The outline and technical features of this product are described. It has a system configuration with an ice heat storage tank between the usual outdoor unit and the indoor unit of a multiple air conditioner. For the control, a remote control switch for the heat storage unit and a control timer for the setting of heat storage operation time separately. The refrigerant supercooling system is applied to this system, in which cold heat is stored in the heat storage tank by use of relatively cheap nighttime electric power, and the refrigerant condensed in the outdoor equipment is supercooled in the heat storage tank is used for air cooling during the daytime. The cycle configuration, the flow of the refrigerant and the operational pattern in the daytime and nighttime are presented. The compact heat storage tank is one of the point of the development. The static type inside melting method is used for thawing pattern. The main specification and the performance are described. The noise of the indoor unit is taken in consideration on the design. 7 figs., 3 tabs.
