Estratégia Saúde da Família e Vigilância em Saúde: conhecimento de médicos de família e comunidade sobre Vigilância Sanitária, Vigilância em Saúde Ambiental e Vigilância em Saúde do Trabalhador

2021
Introduction: The interaction between the sectors of the Unified Health System, particularly Primary Health Care (PHC) and Health Surveillance (HS), is essential for actions that focus on integrality to be operationalized in services. For this, it is necessary, in addition to other factors, mutual knowledge between the areas, about their scope of action. Objective: The aim of the study was to analyze the knowledge of physicians from the Family Health Strategy teams on Environmental Health Surveillance (EHS), Sanitary Surveillance (SS) and Surveillance of the Workers Health (SWH). Methods: Study with a qualitative approach, conducted with eight physicians from family health teams in cities in the interior of Minas Gerais. The focus group technique was used using a problem- situation. Thematic content analysis guided the treatment of the data. Results: EHS and SWH were the surveillances with less familiarity among physicians, being superficially associated with the control of environmental factors and labor inspection, respectively. SS was associated to product inspection. Greater integration of the teams with agents of endemic control and training in Health HS were proposed to improve integration. Intersectoral actions were suggested, especially when related to SWH. Conclusions: In view of the low familiarity with HS, permanent education is a fundamental strategy for the integration of PHC and HS. Considering that the actions of these sectors are decentralized, greater protagonism and proactivity is expected from local managers in order to reach the proper capillarity of HS at the main gateway to the Brazilian public health system.
