METHOD OF SELF-CONTROLLING THE SALT CONTENT OF MARINE AGGREGATES USED IN CONCRETE
1977
details are given of the various phases of the emthod: (a) calibration of the devices; (1) analyses of seawater and soft water used for washing; (2) plotting of curves linking the chloride and sulphate contents of the washing water to its resistivity; (3) plotting of curves linking chloride and sulphate contents of washed sand to its moisture content and to the resistivity of the washing water; (b) follow-up study of the production process: (1) recording of the resistivity of washing water; (2) determination of the moisture content of the washed sand, then plotting of these values on a chart to evaluate the chloride and sulphate content of the sand. /TRRL/
