Research Advances about Molecular Vernalization Mechanisms of Arabidopsis Plants

Vernalization is necessary for some high plants to differentiate their flowers,i.e.chilling for a proper period of time and at a proper intensity is capable of inducing them to silence the genes of their flowering-inhibiting proteins.Recent researches have revealed that in vernalization,the expression silencing of specific inhibitory proteins is partially because of the covalent modifications of histidine at some specific chromosome sites.The paper mainly deals with the molecular mechanisms about the expression inhibition of FLC gene in Arabidopsis plants in vernalization.
