Zegiestow-Zdroj is a spa resort located in the Beskid Sądecki, in Nowosądecki district, in the Muszyna borough. The beginning of the resort relates to the discovery of the spring of mineral water made by Ignacy Medwecki in 1846. Thanks to this Hungarian nobleman, who was also the head of the baths in Muszyna, the first guesthouses and baths were built. In the following decades the resort was constantly developing. In the article, we pay special attention to the period after the World War I, when the Zegiestow resort was one of the best spas in the country and competed with the nearby Krynica. During World War II, Zegiestow was occupied by Germans, and after the war, medical devices were stolen and most buildings were destroyed. From 1948, the resort was nationalized and workers' holidays were organized there.
