Práticas Agrícolas no curso de Agronomia da UNILAB: uma experiência na comunidade de Umari, Pacajus-CE

UNILAB’s agronomy course is oriented politically towards peasant family agriculture and agroecology.This work reports experiences from Agricultural Practices (PA) XII and PA XIII inthe community of Umari, Pacajus-CE, started in February 2016. The work began with thediagnosis of the community. After this stage, actions were organized to deal with some of theissues demanded by farmers. We highlight the dialogue of knowledge between the communityof Umari and the academic community, the perception of the problems faced by the farmers,identification of topics for the elaboration of course completion works based on problems experiencedin the community, delivery of the map to farmers, workshops with varied themes,elaboration of booklets and works already presented in events. With the departure of the newcomerclass, a new PA VIII class is proceeding with work in the community.
