The Empirical Studies of The Relationship Between Economic Progress and Environmental Contamination in Huangshi

This article use the statistic data of environmental pollution index and the per capita GDP in Huang Shi from the year of 2005 to 2011,through the establishment of the logarithmic and polynomial model between real per capita GDP and pollutant emissions,analysing specifically of the relationship between the typical environment index and the economic development.The results show that Huangshi per capita GDP and industrial waste water emissions curve was on the right side of the section of inverted U type curve,the per capita GDP and industrial waste gas emissions curve was also on the right side of the section of inverted U type curve,but the curve future trend is not stable.The per capita GDP and industrial solid waste emissions curve is on the left side of the section of inverted U type curve,industrial solid waste emissions will have further rising trend.
