ABSTRACT We report the case of a patient with congenital toxoplasmosis and submacular hemorrhage caused by a neovascular membrane who underwent an intravitreal injection of C3F8 and bevacizumab, and had a good visual recovery. Descritores: Toxoplasmose congenita/etiologia; Hemorragia retiniana/etiologia; Injecoes intravitreas/efeitos adversos; Neovascularizacao retiniana/complicacoes; Inibidores da angiogenese; Tomografia de coerencia optica; Relatos de casos INTRODUCTION The retinochoroiditis is the most common manifestation of congenital toxoplasmosis that is bilateral in 50 to 80% of cases. This inflammation could also compromise the retinal vascular system and the formation of subretinal neovascular membrane, which could be seen in the edge of the lesion or distant from the edge with nourishing arteries arising from the scar.
