Susceptibility to Pesticides and Carboxylesterase Activity of Myzus persicae (Sulzer) in Different Areas

2005
The virulence of omethoate and imidacloprid to the Myzus persicae(Sulzer) in Sanming and Hefei was determined, and the carboxylesterase activity,Michaelis constant and maximum response(velocity) of the Myzus persicae(Sulzer) were also studied. The results showed that the bioactivity of imidacloprid to Myzus persicae(Sulzer) was by far higher than that of omethoate both in Sanming and in Hefei;the susceptibility of Myzus persicae(Sulzer) in Sanming to these pesticides lower than that in Hefei;the b value of virulence equation of Myzus persicae(Sulzer) population in Sanming lower than that in Hefei, suggested the existence of some heterogeneity. The carboxylesterase activity,Michaelis constant and maximum response velocity of Myzus persicae(Sulzer) in the two areas were not significantly different.
