MODELACIÓN NUMÉRICA DE LA MAREA METEOROLÓGICA EN EL PACÍFICO COLOMBIANO

The purpose of this work is to determine the dynamics of the meteorological tide in the coastal areas of Bahia Solano, Buenaventura and Tumaco in the Colombian Pacific by numerical simulation in a time series of 20 years (1991-2010), through the implementation of a database with wind fields and pressure, bathymetry and meteorological data which were used as input data for the H2D model, implementing the knowledge acquired during the professional completion course and relying on graphical contrast analysis tools and statistical analysis to determine the drag coefficient and calibrate the model. As a result of the modeling we obtained average and extreme regimes of the meteorological tide, which allowed us to evaluate its behavior and affectation on sea level variations, generating a methodology to obtain the meteorological tide at any point in the Colombian Pacific.
