Network-Based Autonomous Learning Mode for Information Thinking

2015
The aim of our study is to develop a network-based autonomous learning model for information thinking. We combine the characteristics of the network learning and teaching mode to create an autonomous learning model which we call Online Independent Learning Model Based on Information Thinking (OILMIT). The OILMIT goes through a number of steps for information gathering, raising the question, in-depth inquiry, finding the answer, discussion, conclusion, consolidation of practice, development and migration, reflective self-evaluation, internalization of knowledge, and finally, verifying feasibility and determining efficiency. Compared with the traditional teaching mode, the network-based information thinking mode of autonomous learning with self-construction of knowledge contributes more effectively and efficiently to the development of the learner's innovative thinking ability.
