Review on Passivation and Elimination Way During Bioleaching of Chalcopyrite

The phases that form during chalcopyrite dissolution could lead to hindering of the mineral's complete dissolution.This has most commonly been referred to as "passivation" of the chalcopyrite.Four surface phases such as jarosite,elemental sulphur allotropes,metal-deficient sulphides and their mixture might be responsible for hindered chalcopyrite bioleaching were reviewed.The elimination ways consisted of physical method,chemical method,biological methods,and mixed method.Much work will be done to eliminate passivation layers of chalcopyrite bioleaching by four methods.The study on effect of associated minerals on chalcopyrite bioleaching might find a solution.
