Airborne Remote-Sensing Techniques for Site Selection.
1968
Abstract : The Phase I study of preliminary sensor investigations on the use of airborne remote sensors for site selection operations is presented in this report. The engineering parameters for site selection and follow-on construction efforts are defined and form the basic criterion for sensor evaluation. Other considerations include sensor compatibility, weather effects, and data handling analysis. Sensors evaluated cover a wide range of the electromagnetic spectrum, from gamma ray to microwaves, as well as sensors not specifically in the electromagnetic spectrum. (Author)
