The use of educational software develops new skills in children, which is why the fourth year of Basic Education School Number 2 Evening Cuarto Centenario required teaching materials for computer of instruction book of the last block of the Study Social so that learning is developed dynamically. This research aims General: determining the impact of multimedia in the teaching-learning process of the last block of the social studies book, for the fourth year Basic Education School Number 2 Evening Cuarto Centenario, period 2010 to 2011, and specific objectives: -An analysis of the functional and nonfunctional requirements of multimedia. -Design and develop a multimedia teaching and learning of social studies on the subject knows your Loja province, for the fourth year of basic education, according to the current curriculum reform. -Validate the media using tests and surveys aimed at users. -Determine the degree of impact of multimedia in teaching-learning process. The present work is a study of media for the last block of the social studies book, which was developed in order to better understand the main techniques, concepts and applications that will serve to learning these subjects to children fourth-year Basic Education School. The methods used for this research were: scientific, inductive, deductive, analytical, statistical conveniently helped guide each of the stages of development of research and information gathering techniques were the survey to the teachers of the Social Studies concerning the development and observation of classes taught to children in fourth year of primary education. The methodology and resources for the development of multimedia and design were the tool Flash Professional 8, also was handled pedagogical techniques.
