PENGGUNAAN DIKSI DALAM IKLAN PADA KELAS VIII SEMESTER GENAP SMP NEGERI 14 BANDAR LAMPUNG TAHUN PELAJARAN 2018/2019

The purpose of this study was to find out and describe the use of diction in advertisements for class VIII Even Semester 14 Bandar Lampung Public Middle School 2018/2019 academic year. The use of diction in the advertisement of students analyzed includes inappropriate diction, diction is not correct according to rules, and diction is not commonly used. This research method will be used qualitatively. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII.G which numbered 28 students according to the teacher's suggestion during the pre-research process. Data collection techniques use assignments. Students will be given certain themes and write advertisements. Students are emphasized using diction. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of the study show that the use of diction in student advertisements is still a lot of deviations based on the three categories of diction which are aspects of analysis. In the aspect of diction in the right category, students have not revealed the correct diction according to the requirements of diction because students are not aware of using it. In the second aspect, there are diction that are not in accordance with the rules of advertising, students use foreign languages ​​that are difficult to interpret. In the third aspect is the diction of the usual category. In this case students are said to be good in the usual category (usage).
