The influence of Distributed Photovoltaic on the Voltage Profile in Distribution Network

2020
In response to the national call to improve power utilization efficiency and the proportion of clean electricity, reduce fossil fuel consumption, waste water, waste gas emissions and the loss of long-distance power transmission, the distributed photovoltaic capacity in distribution network in China power grid is constantly increasing, which brings difficulties to the voltage control in the distribution network. In this paper, voltage control of distribution network with distributed photovoltaic (PV) is studied. Firstly, a mathematical model of PV inverter is established, distribution network is defined, and an equivalent load treatment method is given. Then the single distributed PV is regarded as a negative load and the voltage profile characteristics of the distribution network with PV are deduced. Finally, in an 8-users simulation system, the influences of single/multiple PV accession modes, capacity, accession locations, feedlines’ parameters and loads on the voltage profile of the distribution network are further studied, and relevant conclusions are drawn.
