The function of monocyte derived DCs in peripheral blood of patients with viral myocarditis

2013
Objective To explore the function of peripheral blood monocyte-derived DCs of patients with viral myocarditis,to develop a new approach for the treatment of viral myocarditis. Methods A total of 20 viral myocarditis patients and 20 healthy volunteers were selected as cases and controls, respectively. The peripheral blood mononuclear cells were collected and separated firstly, and then they were induced by GMCSF and IL-4.We observed the changes of shape and phagocytic ability of the cells,as well as the expression of cytokines. Results The expression levels of CD80,CD83,CD86,and MHC Ⅱ were higher in cases than that in controls. However, the phagocytosis of Mo-DCs in cases was lower.Besides,Mo-DCs of cases secreted higher level of TNF-a (P< 0.05) and IL-12 (P< 0.05).Conclusions The Mo-DCs of viral myocarditis patients' are very mature and stable. They have a high level expression of TNF-12 and IL-12.
