Vibrational relaxation and coherence and primary electron transfer in photosynthetic reaction centers

Vibrational coherence recently observed by Vos et al. has been analyzed to determine the rate of vibrational relaxation involved in the primary electron transfer (ET) in reaction centers. A modified ET model is introduced to determine multi-mode effects and the temperature dependence of ET for a series of Rb. capsulatus mutants
