Ефективність механічних заходів знищення амброзії полинолистої

The paper highlights the dynamics of ragweed spreading in Zhytomyr oblast within the period of 10 years. The authors investigate the efficiency mowing as an ecologically safe method of fighting this regulated organism on the territory of Zhytomyr city. It has been established that mowing ragweed in the phase of inflorescence formation makes it possible to exterminate up to 37,9 per cent of weed plants. Taking info account the fact pollen from the blossoming ragweed plants causes allergic reaction in people. The authors suggest mowing weeds on the territory of densely populated cities in the period of the beginning of the inflorescence formation up to large-scale blossoming of this allergen weed. It has been proved that thrice repeated mowing of ragweed plants with the mowing height of 6–8 cm. contributes to the extermination of almost 97,1 per cent of plants of this regulates organism.
