Users of the structure affects the local community that the buildings are subjected. Directly in the design process so far, been pushing for this plan came to engage indirectly in different communities, the destination and means of participation is limited and has been made into a passive. The purpose of this study was to propose a systematic, participatory design process, a pre-planning for community involvement in the design process of a public building. For research of the paper, the method of this study are as follows. First, to accentuate value and necessity of public participation in the design, Architecture and related fields "publicness" literature(degrees and dissertation, research reports, edition) was investigated. Second, the domestic collecting relevant literature(domestic degree and academic literature) within 10 years presentation a practical application example to identify the issues of trends and processes of participatory design in architectural field(total of 30) and analyze the information, It was. Third, in order to present the processes and techniques involved in community participation designed for domestic public architecture analyzing the exemplary participation of foreign design process and compared with the general trend on the domestic application case analysis. The results of this study are as follows. First, the application of participatory design in the domestic architectural field is concentrated in specific facilities(education research facility) has been limited progress, the case of community involvement designs that meet the "public service" was the inability to find diverse. Second, education and research facilities focusing on participation and participatory design processes and techniques to diversify, but found that, except for some cases and the progress of the process, criteria and techniques are mixed. Third, a comprehensive analysis of domestic cases, and apply the design process as compared to the participation of Henry Sanoff proposed a community participatory design process(step 10), and step-by-step participation scheme for the domestic public architecture systematically.
