The research scopeisfocused on business andmanagementlevel. Thereweresomesignificant literatures retrieved fromonline electronic database anda citation database wasbuilt bytheir references. Afterthat, the study wasanalyzed bymultivariate methods toclassify research taxonomyandliteratures relative positions. Thestudywas expected tounderstanding ofcurrent situation ofpatent analysis research. Additionally, themainpurposes ofthis studywereto synthesize coreknowledge andresearch trends inresearch fields, topoint outthemajorcontributors andinfluential journals, to understand their positions, andtoexplore evolution life cycle. Theresearch results areclassified intofiveresearch fields, namelythesources oftechnology knowledge, patent applications andpatent value, patent research andtechnology position, the indicators oftechnological and innovative activities, and interdisciplinary applications.
