Autonomia do trabalho do supervisor de ensino: uma análise em sua localidade

This article aimed to discuss the perceptions of the teaching supervisor and his performance with schools and teaching boards based on the concepts of work and autonomy. It was an exploratory, qualitative study with the participation of 14 respondents, supervisors from the Itapetininga-SP Region, through semi-structured questionnaires and an interview with the Regional Director. The respondents' feedback revealed that the teaching supervisor's autonomy is a relative element, due to the direction he is subject to by the conditions of the work he performs. However, the creative character of the possibilities of implementa-tion and construction of their praxis aims at the eman-cipation of subjects, due to the need to strengthen the collective and actions among school professionals, experienced by the articulation of their work in the Teaching Directorate, with their and with the Regional Director's support and management teams.
