Shapes for reflector antennas

The problem of shaping the surface of a microwave reflector of a given projection on to a plane to create a directivity pattern within given bounds in reference to a given feed is examined. A strong necessary condition for the existence of solutions is derived, and a rapid iterative technique for finding solutions is developed. Solutions for light and efficient satellite antennas are easily found.
