AVALIAÇÃO PSICOLÓGICA E ADERÊNCIA TERAPÊUTICA NA CIRURGIA BARIÁTRICA

Hoy en dia la obesidad es la epidemia del siglo XXI. Por lo tanto, este documento se examino como la evaluacion psicologica puede ser util en pacientes obesos sometidos a cirugia bariatrica sobre la investigacion de las caracteristicas de personalidad, relaciones y comportamientos relacionados con su salud. En este punto, entra en juego la adhesion al tratamiento, considerado el grado de acuerdo entre el comportamiento del paciente y las prescripciones medicas. Metodologicamente, se procedio a investigar dos grupos distintos de pacientes obesos. Un grupo compuesto por pacientes que estan en espera de la cirugia bariatrica y otros pacientes en diferentes momentos de despues de la cirugia. En ambos grupos realizaron la evaluacion de los diversos rasgos de la personalidad, el cruce con los indicadores de adherencia al tratamiento ofrecido a cada uno. Los datos obtenidos hasta la fecha apuntan a la aparicion de distintas caracteristicas entre los pacientes mas y menos conformes en cada tiempo de tratamiento, antes y despues de la cirugia bariatrica. Sin embargo, estos hallazgos no son concluyentes ni generalizables, sino que representan los primeros datos de este estudio longitudinal. La secuencia de resultados en contra de un proceso dinamico y multidimensional puede ser el valor inicial de los futuros estudios. Palabras clave Obesidad Cirugia Bariatrica Psicologia ABSTRACT PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT ADHERENCE IN BARIATRIC SUGERY Obesity is currently considered an epidemic of the XXI century. Therefore, this paper discussed how the psychological evaluation may be useful in obese patients undergoing bariatric sugery regarding the investigation of personality characteristics, relationships and behaviors associated with their health. At this point, comes into play adherence to therapy, considered the degree of agreement between the behavior of the patient and medical prescriptions. Methodologically, we performed the investigation of two distinct groups of overweight patients. A group composed of patients who are awaiting surgery and other bariatric patients by at different times after surgery. In both groups held the assessment of various personality traits, crossing them with indicators of adherence to treatment offered to each. The data obtained so far point to the emergence of distinct characteristics between more and less compliant patients in each treatment time, before and after bariatric surgery. However, these findings are not conclusive or generalizable, but represent the first longitudinal data from this study. The sequence of results against a dynamic and multidimensional process may be the initial value of future studies. Key words Obesity Bariatric Sugery Psychology
