In 1998 the market for personal care products in the EU grew by 6.4%, which represents the highest annual growth figure since the early 90's. Within this, Germany, at 9.7 billion ECUs, is the market with the biggest turnover. Form 1994 to 1998 the European market for personal care products grew in total by 17.7% to 43.7 billion ECUs
