Sobre a Psicanálise e o Envelhecimento: Focalizando a Produção Científica

An integrative review aimed at getting to know the psychanalytic scientific production regarding the elderly and aging. The period considered was 2011-2015, and the databases consulted were: Index-Psychology, LILACS and MedLine. The following terms were used: Aged, Elderly, and Psychoanalysis. 89 references were found. Were excluded: editorials, repeated articles and those who did not address the guiding questions of this work - What is the scientific literature regarding the relationship between psychoanalysis and the elderly? 11 articles were adequate. The initial concern psychanalysis starts demonstrating towards the elderly is clear. This concern has a higher priority than epistemological questions, and therefore clinical practice is more frequently present. However, there was a need for more research on the subject.
