Contemporary nomads at work: a new trend in work culture?

A conceptual view on nomadic work and work culture is developed in this paper. Using the work development over years mutual needs, wishes, demands and requirements of employers and employees are considered. Selected dimensions of nomadic work such as telework and temporary work are described from the organisations' as well as the employees' points of view. The article contributes with some directions in constructing a regulatory definition of nomadic work. Advantages and disadvantages of nomadic work are discussed and the paper ends with suggestions for policy and research.
