A comparison of the solutions of the problems of the theory of shells and the three-dimensional theory of elasticity

By comparing with the results obtained by numerical solution of a three-dimensional problem of the theory of elasticity we evaluate the different versions of the theory of elastic orthotropic cylindrical shells.
