Wind loads on solar energy systems are not covered by current wind loading standards. This paper describes results of a parametric study into the wind loads 0on solar energy systems,. which are placed on flat roofs. Wind tunnel measurements have been carried out on a number of configurations. The results have been applied into the first pre-standard for integration of solar energy in buildings, The Dutch pre-standard NVN 7250 3 in Europe, and into BRE digest 489
